A Jury Trial is scheduled to be held beginning late this month for a 32-year-old Marshall man who allegedly shot two people in Cooper County last year.

The Boonville Police Department arrested Derrick Young, who is accused of committing the acts in the Harley Park area on May 15, 2019. Both victims were transported to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.

Young is charged with two counts of a Class A Felony for Assault in the First Degree; a Class A Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon; and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action. He remains in custody on $500,000 cash or surety bond.

His two-day Jury Trial is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Monday, November 30, at Cooper County Circuit Court.
