
The Concordia Board of Aldermen approved an ordinance authorizing an extension of six months to the current lease for the John Deere 310 SL backhoe; the lease shall expire on May 24, 2021,.
Unofficial minutes from the meeting on Monday, November 16, say the approval authorizes this payment to Murphy Tractor in the amount of $7,850.
In other news, the board reviewed the parks meeting and approved a motion to authorize Crockett Engineering to review the Legacy Shelter House in Central Park before the city takes it over for maintenance.
There were concerns about A.D.A restrooms and getting grants for the expense at Concordia Park. The wooden playground equipment has several hazards associated with it, and is uninsurable. Aldermen voted to remove the red wooden playground equipment from Southside Park.
The board also approved a request from St. Paul Lutheran High School for the portion of SE 3rd Street- between Orange Street and the alley to the east- to be blocked on December 11 and 12 for its Christmas Market Days.
Aldermen also voted to forgive MO DOT future water penalties per MO Revised Statutes Chapter 34 of State Purchasing and Printing, and to forgive $132.18 for October billing.
