A 31-year-old Sedalia man has been charged with a couple of felonies for alleged criminal activity at a storage facility on December 16.
According to a Sedalia Police report, officers were dispatched to a business for a witness report of a subject jumping the fence and entering Rac-Jac Storage on Green Ridge Road.
Investigating, the officers saw Adam Shephard come out of a unit with a green duffel bag. Shephard had a broken lock in his pocket. Near the duffel bag- which Shephard had discarded as he briefly tried to elude authorities, officers located a tire iron with a straight edge and another tool with a small forked end.
Shephard is charged with a Class D Felony for Burglary in the Second Degree and a Class E Felony for Possession of Burglary Tools. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.
Shephard was arraigned on December 18. His next hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, Pettis County Circuit Court.
