Vivian Templeton, age 89, of rural Marceline, MO, died Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at her home.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Face masks are required at all services, and social distancing will be observed. Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall.

Born October 23, 1931, in Marshall, MO, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Underwood and Ruby Elizabeth Williamson Underwood. She was a 1949 graduate of Marshall High School. On September 1, 1951, she married Tommie E. Templeton who preceded her in death on September 24, 2010. She lived in Chariton County the last 35 years, moving from the farm near Nelson, MO. She worked at several nursing homes over the years, retiring as a social director. She was a member of Zion Methodist Church.

Survivors include four children, Sharon Lyon (Max) of Marshall, Randy Templeton (Lisa) of Marceline, Brenda Marshman (Russ) of Fulton, MO and Danny Templeton (Debbie) of Ionia, MO; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Baker of Maryville, MO and Donna Welch of San Diego, CA; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three daughters, Terri Lea Templeton, Joyce Marie Templeton and Cathy Sue Templeton; and two brothers, William and Russell Underwood.
