A traffic stop led to a drug-related felony charge being field against a Marshall resident.

According to a Saline County Deputy’s report, during a consented search of the vehicle, the deputy uncovered 84 sandwich-style baggies inside a backpack. Rickey James Love was arrested for Driving While Revoked. He told the deputy he had some marijuana on him, but he couldn’t remember where he put it. Love was escorted to the restroom of the jail facility, where two clear baggies- one containing marijuana and one containing methamphetamine- fell out of the shorts he was wearing.

Court documents say Love is charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance and three misdemeanors. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety, with 10-percent approved.

Love is scheduled to be arraigned at 9 a.m. on Monday, January 11, at Saline County Circuit Court.
