A Saline County resident called out the county commission for what she alleges are inappropriate actions during the commission meeting on Thursday, January 7.
Jill Hollabaugh explained why she has been attending the commission meetings for the past several months and asking questions. She said her mother asked her to attend a meeting and give her an opinion.
Hollabaugh says her quest always has been to understand who Flotron (& McIntosh) is; what service it provides to the county; and whether or not those services justify the expense. Hollabaugh said as of January 7, the commissioners have still not provided the most basic information.
Hollabaugh also alleged that Bill Stouffer confirmed to her that there is an actual conflict of interest between the relationship with Flotron, Bill Stouffer personally and Saline County.
Hollabaugh said she is not there to make enemies.
Gooden responded to some of what Hollabaugh alleged.
Gooden further said she thought all of Hollabaugh’s requests had been answered.
Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. asked Hollabaugh a question.
Hollabaugh finished with one last question.
Stouffer was hired as an advisor for the county on the multimillion-dollar sewer and water project that is going on at Marshall Junction. The project is being funded from the Develop Saline County half-cent sales-tax measure approved by voters in April 2018.
