A 37-year-old Joliet, Illinois, woman is facing a felony charge in Pettis County.

According to a report from the Sedalia Police Department detective, on December 10, 2020, a Walmart asset-protection employee reported four females entered the store and pushed two separate carts of merchandise outside the store. He also reported a backpack was stolen that concealed several other items. They put the items- valued at more than $340 (items that only could be identified by watching surveillance video)- into a Toyota Camry that was traced to be owned by Devetta L. White, who had been banned from Walmart in 2012 for stealing from a store in Romeoville, Illinois.

White is charged with a Class B Felony for Burglary in the First Degree and a misdemeanor for stealing. Bond has not been set yet.

White’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
