One of the items on the agenda of the Marshall City Council during its meeting on Monday, January 19, involved the setting of a public hearing for a Planning and Zoning recommendation.

Ward 3 Councilman Dan Brandt explained this will be for a fence ordinance. He said P&Z met on January 12 and then gave a bit of history of this particular ordinance.

Brandt says P&Z did remove the setback part of the ordinance that drew the ire of a number of city residents.

There were no questions, and the council approved the public hearing to be held during the next council meeting scheduled for Monday, February 1.
