The Saline County Health Department, Fitzgibbon Hospital and Missouri Valley College are joining forces in the fight against Covid-19 by holding a mass vaccine event.

The Saline County Health Department is working from their list of individuals who have indicated they would like to receive the vaccine when it becomes available. These initial calls are to schedule the most at-risk in our community. It is important to note that vaccines will be given by appointment only. Due to the limited supply of vaccine, no walk-ins will be accommodated. Registration staff from Fitzgibbon Hospital will be making follow-up calls to those scheduled to gather additional information, which will help speed up the process on the day of the event.

Saline County Health Department has posted a link on its Facebook page, and Fitzgibbon Hospital has posted a link on its website to have your name added to the list for future vaccine events. Again, this event is by appointment only.

You are asked not call to ask about your vaccine. You will be contacted when your phase is open and there is supply of vaccine. Organizers stress that this will be the first of many such events to distribute Covid-19 vaccine to individuals identified as eligible, based on State of Missouri guidance, available for review at www.mostopscovid.com.
