
Connie Jean Reichert, 62, of Marshall, died Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO.
She was born on June 12, 1958, in Moberly, MO, the daughter of Gerald and Shirley (Sparks) Sowers. Connie was a 1976 graduate of Brunswick High School and a 1994 graduate of Saline County Career Center. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall, MO.
On June 26, 1976 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Brunswick, MO, Connie married her high school sweetheart, Eddie Reichert.
She worked for the Brunswick Sale Barn as a clerk and Brunswick R-II Schools as an aide. In August, 1993, she went back to school to become an LPN. After her graduation, she worked at Fitzgibbon Hospital, Missouri Valley Physicians, many rural schools in Saline County as Nurse Miss Connie, and Saline County Health Department. Then she went back to her passion, school nursing, for Marshall Public Schools and retired December 17, 2020 from Orearville R-IV.
She is survived by her loving husband, Eddie of the home; one son, Shaun Reichert and one daughter, Shayla Reichert Buie and husband Mark all of Brunswick, MO; two grandchildren, Tanner Buie of Springfield, MO and Taylee Buie of Brunswick, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Shirley Sowers; her brother, Rick Sowers; her paternal grandparents, Vernon and Jerry Sowers; her maternal grandparents, John and Eloise Sparks; and her in-laws, Raymond and Mary Jane Reichert.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to7:00 p.m. with rosary preceding at 4:30 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2021, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall, MO. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2021, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall, with Fr. Tom Alber officiating. Burial will be held in Elliott Grove Cemetery in Brunswick, MO. Face masks are required and social distancing will be observed at all services.
Pallbearers are Tanner Buie, Dr. Tim Ryan, Mike Heying, Barry VanDeventer, Stan Switzer, and Dr. Justin Cramer. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry VanDeventer, Lee Farley, Keith Yocam, Ron Deis, Steve Deis, Gene Neff, Dr. Jack Uhrig, Dr. Bill Page, Darren Meador, and Paul Alberson.
