
Mildred A. “Sue” Hager, age 84, of Warsaw and formerly of Slater, died Monday, March 8, 2021, at Warsaw Health & Rehab in Warsaw, Missouri.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 15, at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater, with Rev. Paul List officiating. Memorials are suggested to the American Legion Auxiliary in Slater in care of the funeral home.
Born November 21, 1936 in rural Miami, she was the daughter of the late Bennie A. and Helen Paschel Sullivan. On August 21, 1954 in Glasgow, she married Dale Strodtman. On January 22, 1959 in Slater, she married Johnny H. Hager, and he preceded her in death on November 5, 1980.
She is survived by a son, Edwin D. “Eddie” Strodtman of Springfield; two grandchildren, Christopher and Shannon; and three great-grandchildren, Abby, Klayten, and Korbyn. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert Sullivan and James Sullivan; and a sister, Mary Baker Berlekamp.
Mrs. Hager was a long-time member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and had worked at Town & Country Shoe Factory in Slater, and later owned and operated Sue’s Restaurant in Slater. Following her retirement, she moved to Warsaw.
