We’ll bring you more information as it becomes available.

Justin Smith, an officer with the Marshall Police Department, and his four children were out of town when the home caught fire.

The single father will now need a new place to live that’s suitable for his children, whose ages range from 4 to 10.

The home was owned by Smith’s father, Larry Smith. The home and its contents are a total loss. The family also lost several goats.

They will and do have all the love and support from friends and family, but they will need the monetary support to rebuild what they have lost. Any little bit will go a very long way.
