Multiple drug-related items were allegedly located at a residence in the presence of a child, and two Fayette residents are facing felony charges.

According to a probable-cause statement, on December 21, officers with the East Central Drug Task Force, Howard County Sheriff’s office and the Fayette Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant at an apartment in the 500 block of South Cleveland Street where they seized several plastic baggies containing illegal drugs, prescription pills and numerous items of drug paraphernalia. The woman’s 2-year-old son also was located in the residence.

Darrell Wayne Greenfield is charged with a Class A Felony for Trafficking Drugs or Attempt in the First Degree; a Class D Felony for Endangering the Welfare of a Child Involving Drugs in the First Degree- First Offense; and four counts of a Class D Felony for Possession Of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams Or Less Of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid. Bond is set at $50,000 cash only.

Greenfield’s case has been bound over and a Case Review is scheduled for 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 27 at Howard County Circuit Court.

Kassandra Dee Finn was sentenced to seven years in jail on February 23, after pleading guilty to a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Except 35 grams or Less of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoid and two counts of a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Execution of sentence is suspended and Finn has been placed on five years probation.
