Russel C. Branson, 89, of Concordia, formerly of Higginsville, passed away Wednesday April 14th, 2021 at the Lutheran Good Shepherd home in Concordia.
Russel was born November 2, 1931, to Carl and Blanche (Anson) Branson. Russel lived the majority of his life on a farm south of Higginsville and was a graduate of Higginsville High School. He attended William Jewell College where he played football. Russel married Dorothy Hix in June of 1951. Together they raised six daughters. Dorothy preceded him in death in January of 1998. Russel later married Louise Reinwald, who also preceded him in death. Russel retired from the Bendix Corporation, he also farmed in his younger years. Russel moved to Concordia in 1999, where he was an active member of the Lions Club. His greatest enjoyment was attending local weekly dances.

Russell “Russ” Branson
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, and four brothers Jack, Glenn, Emory & Earl.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 19th at 2:00 pm at Central Christian Church in Higginsville. Casket bearers will be the grandsons and honorary casket bearers will be the granddaughters.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Masks are required, please.
He will be buried in the City Cemetery
Memorials are suggested to the Concordia Lions Club.
