A 34-year-old Boonville man is facing multiple felonies after he allegedly led law-enforcement on a high-speed chase in August.

On August 17, 2020 a Boonville Police Officer attempted a traffic stop of a motorcycle driven by Nathan Patrick Bone. Instead of stopping, Bone sped away. According to the officer, Bone was driving dangerously, weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed, so the officer terminated the pursuit.

Bone was reportedly on probation and parole and on house arrest during the incident. Probation and Parole claims, the GPS monitor that Bone was wearing reported that he was traveling at speeds of 100-plus miles per hour on Highway 40. The officer was later notified that Bone had removed the GPS device in Columbia shortly after the attempted traffic stop.

Bone is charged with felonies for tampering with electronic monitoring equipment; resisting arrest, detention or stop by fleeing and driving while revoked or suspended. Bond is set at $25,000 cash or surety.

A preliminary hearing in this case is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 4 at Cooper County Circuit Court.
