During its meeting on Monday, May 3, the Marshall City Council was asked for its blessing for Municipal Services Director Bill Anderson to bid on a truck that is on an auction website.

Anderson explains.

Anderson said he’s made contact with the seller, and they say it’s a usable, running truck. They just got a new one and have this one on the auction block.

Ward 3 Councilman Dan Brandt says this is not a budgeted item, but the department has a way to cover the potential cost.

The council gave its approval for Anderson to place a bid on the vehicle.
