Marshall High School has announced its upcoming plans to celebrate the graduating seniors.

Several celebratory activities are scheduled for the Seniors’ last days. All of the activities are optional except for the graduation practice on Friday, May 21.

Planned events include:

Friday, May 21, 2021:

Senior Breakfast will be held at 8:30 a.m. in the MHS commons. Parents and guardians are welcome to attend for the purpose of serving, eating, or just visiting with their student. The south doors will be open for seniors and their guests at 8 a.m.

Graduation Practice will begin at 9:30 a.m. All seniors must be in attendance for this activity.

Senior Send Off will follow graduation practice at approximately 11 a.m. This event will be held at MHS and will include the faculty and students that make up MHS.

Senior Parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. Line up for the parade will be at 5 p.m. in the HS parking lot. The parade will start north on Miami Avenue, turn east on Arrow Street and finish on the southeast corner of the Marshall square at approximately 6 p.m. If a student needs a vehicle to ride in during the parade, arrangement will be made. Contact Mr. Verts if you need assistance with transportation.

Senior Sunset & Dessert will be hosted at the MHS concessions stand at 7:30 p.m. There will be a dessert bar and drinks for seniors and their guests as well as yard games and activities for students. The evening will concluded with a fireworks show after sunset, approximately 8:50 p.m.

Sunday, May 23, 2021:

Graduation Ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. at the MHS track/football stadium. Seniors will need to arrive at the MHS gym no later than 1 p.m. prior to graduation. Seniors will need to park in the SCCC parking lot and walk to the MHS gym to accommodate the parking needs at MHS. If weather is an issue, the ceremony will be moved into the MHS gym. An announcement will be made at 12 p.m. on Sunday, May 23 if changes are needed due to weather. The announcements will be made via school textcaster and KMMO Radio. There are no restrictions on the number of guests allowed to attend outdoor graduation. In the event that graduation is held in the MHS gym, students will be given tickets for guest to attend the ceremony.
