Saline County Southern District Commissioner Monte Fenner gave an update on Bridge No. 52, which is located in Sweet Springs, during the commission meeting on Thursday, May 27.

Fenner also noted the courthouse will be closed on Monday, May 31, in observance of Memorial Day.

It also was reported that the annual Memorial Day Ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 31, on the southeast corner of the courthouse lawn in Marshall.

In other news, commissioners approved a banner to be put up on the courthouse grounds honoring the Marshall Municipal Band’s 100th Anniversary.
