Bond has been set at six figures for a 33-year-old Sedalia woman who has been charged with a felony for allegedly throwing an object in the direction of law-enforcement officers on June 22.

According to a Sedalia Police report, officers responded to the report of a female screaming as if she was being beaten.

After investigating the situation, the two officers stepped out onto the sidewalk to discuss their concerns about a woman who they say was obviously intoxicated. While they were talking, they heard a loud bang. They say the woman threw a hammer that hit a window so hard that there was glass about 30 feet from the window. The hammer and glass landed within about three feet of the officers. They say it was apparent that the woman was attempting to hit one or both of the officers.

Court documents say Allison M. Wood is charged with a Class A Felony for Assault in the First Degree or Attempt- Serious Physical Injury or Special Victim; an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action; and a misdemeanor for property damage. Bond is set at $100,000 cash or surety.

Wood was arraigned on Thursday, June 24. Her next hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
