Marshall Saline Development Corporation (MSDC) has announced that Cydney Mayfield will take over as its new Executive Director.

Mayfield has a strong background working with Missouri municipalities in economic development projects as a City Attorney or special counsel. Mayfield has served as the Assistant Prosecutor of Saline County.

Additionally, Mayfield has worked as deputy counsel for the Missouri Office of the Public Counsel and as senior counsel with the Missouri Public Service Commission. Mayfield holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Iowa College of Law.

Mayfield will be the face of economic development for Saline County, and will lead MSDC in its economic development efforts.

MSDC is a local not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting existing businesses and industry and recruiting new business and industry to Saline County and its communities.

Mayfield’s first official day as Executive Director will be July 13, 2021.

Sandy Allison resigned as MSDC Executive Director, which became effective on May 15.
