Marshall High School has been named a Safe Sport School Second Team for a second time. This award identifies the school as a leader in sports-safety and a community concerned with its student-athletes.
Marshall High School Athletic Trainer, Diane Schlesselman says the Safe Sport School award is awarded through the National Athletic Training Association. Marshall High School offers student-athletes access to a safe playing field, an athletic trainer on-site, coaches who are CPR certified and ensures an emergency action plan in case of an injury.
Schlesselman says the high school was named a Safe Sport School in 2018 and the award is valid for a three-year period. Reapplication will take place June 2024.
