Administrators in the Lexington R-5 School District urge all parents or guardians of students in the district to print and fill out free-and-reduced lunch-meal forms. Meal forms also will be available to complete at the Open House or in building offices beginning the week of August 9.

Administrators say, “It is important that all families fill out a free-and-reduced lunch form whether you qualify or not. By doing this, it ensures that students are correctly identified to receive the resources that benefit them. Our district could be awarded with additional funds for federal poverty programs such as Title I, which brings money for additional instructional assistance for our students.”
