One of two persons who was arrested and charged with felonies after the search of a motel room on July 8 has a court proceeding set for this week.

According to the Sedalia Police Department, officers stopped a vehicle and allegedly located methamphetamine, cutting tools and a catalytic converter inside. Authorities also say a search of a motel room revealed more stolen catalytic converters- two of which were confirmed to have been stolen from a Sedalia business earlier in the day.

Arrested were Wayne T. Coslet, of Sweet Springs, and a woman, who were located in the room in possession of the stolen property.

According to court documents, Coslet is charged with felonies for stealing of $750 or more and property damage in the first degree. He posted $25,000 surety bond on July 12.

Coslet was arraigned on July 20. His counsel-status hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 24, at Pettis County Circuit Court.

The woman has not been formally charged at this time.
