The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has issued a Flood Warning until Tuesday morning.

According to NWS, the warning regards Big Creek at Blairstown affecting three counties including Johnson County in the KMMO listening area.

Officials say the stage was recorded at 9.0 feet at 9 p.m. Friday, September 3. Flood-stage is considered 20.0 feet. Big Creek is expected to rise above the flood-stage Saturday afternoon to a crest of 22.6 feet Sunday morning.

Johnson County Emergency Management Agency says water will fall below flood stage early Monday morning.
