A Kansas City man who is facing multiple felony charges after an alleged high-speed pursuit in Saline County on August 2, 2020, is due in court Monday, September 13.

A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says there was a report of a stolen Chevrolet Equinox from the Eagle Stop gas station in Boonville. The driver allegedly was driving aggressively, passing vehicles using the shoulder on I-70 and traveling at 109 mph. The suspect’s vehicle also hit a parked vehicle at the commuter parking lot at Marshall Junction. The driver ran into a wooded area when confronted in Concordia and was not located at that time.

A trace of a phone left in the vehicle led authorities to Jeremy Cummings.

Court documents say Cummings is charged with a felony for resisting arrest by fleeing and seven driving-related misdemeanors. Bond is set at $10,000 cash only.

The case was bound over to the trial division. Cummings pleaded not guilty on July 26. A plea/trial-setting hearing is set for 10 a.m. at Saline County Circuit Court.
