Tom McRoberts with C&M Wildlife Habitat Management was at the meeting of the Marshall City Council on Monday, October 4, to make a presentation regarding the possible construction of a walking path near Amary Lake on the property owned by the city and formerly known as the Marshall Habilitation Center.
McRoberts said part of the trail already is in place and is well maintained and handicapped accessible. The trail will be north of the main campus, and is about 1.7 miles long beginning at the mule barn and three miles round trip.
Ward 2 Councilman Kirk Arends asked McRoberts what the council needs to do.
No decision was made.
In other news, the council approved the appointment of Jim Steinmetz to the Planning and Zoning Commission.
