A traffic stop in Pettis County on Monday, September 20, led to the arrest and a formal drug charge being filed against each of the vehicle’s occupants.

According to a report from a Sedalia Police detective, he allegedly located a set of digital scales with suspected methamphetamine residue on it; two baggies of suspected methamphetamine inside a lock box that weighed approximately 43 grams; and four additional plastic bags. Searching one of the subject’s phones, the detective says there were messages from a person requesting to buy all of the methamphetamine. Arrested were 53-year-old Kenneth Yoakum, of Kansas City, and 46-year-old Jeannie Davidson, of Centertown. Davidson now is 47 years old.

According to court documents, each subject is charged with a felony for trafficking drugs in the second degree, with bond set at $50,000 cash or surety.

A hearing for each of the accused is scheduled to be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 12 at Pettis County Circuit Court.
