After considering all of the evidence during a preliminary hearing on Thursday, October 14, the court found probable cause, and the case involving a 60-year-old Higginsville man who has been charged with more than 30 counts of sex- and pornography-related felonies involving juveniles in Johnson County has bound over to the trial division.

According to a probable-cause statement, Bryan Scott Priess is alleged to have been in possession of nude pictures of numerous youths on his phone and/or laptop and forcibly had sex with more than one female juvenile over a period of time between 2018 and 2020.

According to court documents, Priess is charged with felonies that include exploitation of a minor, possession of child pornography, as well as several other felonies and sex-related misdemeanors. Priess is being held without bond.

Priess pleaded not guilty on June 18.

Priess is now scheduled to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, November 8, at Johnson County Circuit Court.
