Whiteman Air Force Base is scheduled to celebrate 80 Years of Heritage from the Heartland.

Officials say in preparation for the celebration of the 80th Anniversary of Whiteman Air Force base in 2022, the base is looking for photos of significant events or activities at Whiteman throughout the years – for the use in presentations and news stories.

Significant images would include photos from World War II on the base, aircraft on the base flight line or in the air over the region and significant events or famous individuals on base.

The 509th BW Historian will meet with individuals and make digital scans of the photos with all originals staying in the owner’s possession. A release must be signed to allow use of images in Air Force products.
