A Holden man has been charged with a sex-related felony involving a juvenile in Johnson County.

According to a probable-cause statement, in February 2020, a girl was removed from the home of Roy Jason Bailey and placed into protective custody. In December 2020, the girl began disclosing sexual abuse she suffered from Bailey. The girl alleged the abuse happened over an approximate 10-month period. The girl disclosed the allegations in explicit details to a foster mother and a therapist.

Court documents say Bailey is charged with a felony for statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy- deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 years old. Bond is set at $50,000 cash only.

Bailey was formally arraigned while in custody on October 18. His counsel-status hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, at Johnson County Circuit Court.
