
More than 40 percent of Lafayette County residents have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
According to the Lafayette County Health Department, as of Monday, October 25, 41.2 percent of the county has been fully vaccinated, and 45.9 percent of county residents have received at least one dose.
There are five persons currently hospitalized, and the death total remains at 74 due to the virus.
The county’s positivity rate is 9.43 percent, per the CDC COVID Data Tracker.
If you haven’t been vaccinated and would like to be, you can visit the health-department office from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays or Wednesdays for its walk-in services.
