The FDA and CDC have approved the COVID-19 pediatric Pfizer vaccine for children 5-11 years old- another stride in the nation’s fight against the virus that causes COVID-19.

Lafayette County Health Department officials say they started vaccinating children 5-11 years old on Monday, November 8.

Walk-in clinics are scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. There is no fee for the vaccine.

Health department officials say, “If there are any questions regarding COVID-19 or the COVID-19 vaccine, do not hesitate to reach out to the Lafayette County Health Department.”
