Saline County Treasurer Jared Brewer was at the meeting of the county commission on Wednesday, November 10, and gave an update on sales tax money the county received during October.

Brewer first updated the sales and law-enforcement tax numbers.

Brewer also gave updates on three other taxes received.

In other news, commissioners said they are still waiting for further guidance prior to doling out any of the funds the county has received from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The county received half of its $4.4 million allotment in late May, and several agencies made formal requests to receive some of the funds for various reasons earlier this year. However, commissioners say the federal government is still updating guidelines as to how the money can be utilized.
