Smith-Cotton High School instrumental music students performed Saturday in all-district auditions at Warrensburg High School.
According to a news release, competing with about 325 students from 35 schools, more than 20 S-C students earned all-district recognition, with five Tigers – Holden Fox, Barrett Neal, Wyatt Flandermeyer, Lennyn DeLeon and Alisa Sonnik – being awarded first chair for their instrument.
Officials say based on their all-district placements, the following students are eligible to audition for all-state honors on Saturday, December 4, at Hickman High School in Columbia: Fox, Brewington, Flandermeyer, DeLeon, Wyatt, Sonnik, Brandon
Biggs, Caleb Ehlers, Aaron Dmitruk, Regina Robinson, Darren Sanchez, Eddie Alvarez, Ethan Fones, Isaiah Acosta and Savannah Simon.
All-District audition results include Honor Band. Honorable Mention Band, District Jazz Band and District Orchestra.
