The Higginsville Board of Aldermen approved a bill for a contractor master agreement with SRI Contractors, LLC, during its meeting on Monday, November 15.

City Administrator Jeanette Dobson explained the agreement is for roof repairs at Power Plant No. 2 and the West Substation. The cost to the city will be a little more than $31,000 for both projects.

Aldermen also discussed a bill regarding terminating an agreement with the Higginsville Special Road District. Dobson explains.

Aldermen approved the termination of the agreement, and Dobson said the Higginsville Street Department will be maintaining the roadways like it did before.

In other news, Dobson explained there have been some complaints about trash service in the city.

Additionally, aldermen approved the date for the Municipal Election as Tuesday, April 5, 2022; as well as filing times during regular business hours from 8 a.m. Tuesday, December 7, through 5 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021.
