A court proceeding is scheduled for a Keytesville man charged with a drug-related felony in Chariton County.

According to a Salisbury Police report, a search warrant was executed at a residence located close to a daycare and a school on August 26, and authorities say they located baggies containing a crystal substance that tested positive to be methamphetamine, three sets of digital scales and other drug-related items in the room occupied by Gary D. Roberts II.

Court documents say Roberts is charged with a felony for distribution of a controlled substance in a protected location.

Roberts was arraigned on August 30 and released on an own-recognizance bond with supervision on August 31.

Roberts’ next hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, at Chariton County Circuit Court.
