The rehabilitation of the U.S. Route 40 Bridge over the Missouri River in Boonville, that started in June 2021, is complete.

According to MoDOT, work included deck repairs, overlay, substructure repairs and drainage improvements.

Officials say the existing bridge was built in 1995 and reached a point of needing preventative maintenance. This preventative maintenance was necessary in order to get the maximum service life out of the bridge.

The work was completed by Capital Paving & Construction, LLC, who submitted a bid of $1,262,640 for the contract.
