The Sullivan Family was saddened by the passing of their WW II veteran at Golden Oaks Assisted Living in Marshall.  Oden W. Sullivan died Sunday, December 19, 2021.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall with Fr. Christopher Aubuchon officiating.  Burial with military rites will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the church.  Memorials are suggested to St. Peter Catholic Church or Malta Bend American Legion Post 558. Oden was born on March 11, 1927, in Miami, Mo. to the late Amos Hardy Sullivan and Beulah Holland Sullivan.  Oden enlisted in the Navy in October of 1944 and served in the Pacific Theatre during World War II until being discharged in March of 1946. He was a member of Malta Bend American Legion Post 558.

On April 6, 1947, he married Mary Joe Jenkins who preceded him in death on February 1, 1995.  Beginning in 1952, Oden joined his brother John and they owned and operated Sullivan Brothers Service until retiring in 1990.  On April 24, 1999, he married Lee McCracken, who preceded him in death on December 20, 2008. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.

Oden is survived by his only son, John Michael Sullivan and his wife Lynda of Winter Park, Florida and their children, Nicole Sullivan Duff and husband William Duff, John Michael Sullivan II and Amanda Self, all of Maitland Florida.  Oden had five great-grandchildren, William Duff III of Seoul, South Korea, John Michael Sullivan III, Ford Sullivan, Sydney Duff and Shannon Duff, all of Maitland FL, and one great-great-grandchild, Sutton Sullivan Duff.  He is additionally survived by three siblings, Sam Sullivan of Marshall, George Sullivan of Sunrise Beach, and Ellen Garrett of Marshall; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wives, Oden was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
