Two persons have been charged with felonies after authorities allegedly found more than $60,000, some methamphetamine and other drug-related items in a vehicle after a traffic stop on I-70 in Saline County more than a year and a half ago.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, on April 6, 2019, after a K9 made a positive alert for narcotics, the trooper says he located approximately 28 grams of methamphetamine, other drug-related items and $64,611 in cash.

Court documents say 29-year-old Lateasha Henshaw, of Conover, North Carolina, and 49-year-old Mark Chieng, of Sacramento, California, each is charged with two counts of a felony for delivery of a controlled substance. Each defendant’s bond is set at $15,000 personal recognizance.

A hearing for each defendant is pending at Saline County Circuit Court.
