
Charged with multiple felonies for allegedly being involved in a reported shooting incident on February 27, 2021, a 19-year-old Sedalia resident is due in court.
According to a Sedalia Police report, officers responded to the report of shots fired at Centennial Park and found several shell casings. They were made aware that one person- Eabey Carlos-Gonzalez- was at Bothwell Regional Health Center being treated for a gunshot wound. An investigation revealed gunfire was exchanged between two vehicles- one of them being occupied by Carlos-Gonzalez.
According to court documents, Carlos-Gonzalez is charged with assault in the first degree or attempt, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. Bond originally was set at $75,000 cash or surety. However, the court lowered bond to $25,000 cash or surety on December 6, and Carlos-Gonzalez posted surety bond on December 9.
Carlos-Gonzalez’s case was bound over to the trial division on November 16. He pleaded not guilty and waived formal arraignment on December 6. His next hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
