Due to illness in the La Monte School District, school officials have announced students and staff will be transitioning to its Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) on Friday, January  21.

According to the school district, students in attendance today (January 20) will bring home packets of work. The work is required and will count for a grade.

Officials say, if your child is out today these packets are scheduled to go home with them on their next day at school and will be required to be made up.

In sports,the district has ruled to postpone all basketball games scheduled for Friday and Saturday, January 21 and 22. An update of the sports schedule will be released once plans are finalized.

School is scheduled to be back in regular session on Tuesday, January 25.
