Two more area school districts will be closed on Friday, January 21.

According to Lexington R-5 administrators, “As the District has experienced increased absences of staff and students due to COVID and other health-related illnesses, there will be no school on Friday, January 21. All buildings will be closed.”

All activities scheduled for Friday, January 21, through Sunday, January 23, also are canceled.

Salisbury R-4 District administrators say, “Due to illness, there will be no school on Friday, January 21. This will allow our custodians time to conduct a deep cleaning. We will see everyone back on Monday.”

Salisbury administrators also note, “Due to no school on Friday, the high school basketball games versus Brookfield scheduled for Friday have been canceled. Also, the JV Classic games slated for Saturday have been canceled. We are working on makeup dates and will have announcements on those changes as they occur.”
