A Warrensburg woman is facing a couple of felony charges for allegedly causing serious injury to an infant on or about January 11.

According to court documents, Meagan Nicole Wilson is alleged to have struck the seven-month-old child in the head, resulting in a skull fracture and brain bleed.

The woman told authorities there are very aggressive things happening in her apartment. She doesn’t know what causes them, but they cause an “extreme stimulation.” This causes her to become angry and agitated. She said she felt very upset, had emotional aggression, and that is when she hit the child.

The infant was removed from the home by the Johnson County Children’s Division and placed into state custody.

Court documents say Wilson is charged with felonies for domestic assault in the first degree- causing serious physical injury; and abuse or neglect of a child- no sexual contact. Bond is set at $50,000 cash only.

Wilson was arraigned and pleaded not guilty on January 13. Her next hearing is scheduled at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, at Johnson County Circuit Court.
