The Missouri State Highway Patrol has made several recent enhancements to the AMBER system (MOAlerts).

MSHP officials say the MOAlerts application allows the targeting of the message to a troop region or even to a specific county.

One of the chief complaints that MSHP gets on AMBER Alerts is the activation of cell phones for a child who may have been abducted on the other side of the state.

This new capability allows for the use of a more targeted approach with some alerts.
