
An inmate is facing a felony charge due to alleged conversations he had during phone calls he made from the Cooper County Detention Center.
According to a probable-cause statement, a deputy was monitoring recorded detention center phone calls from Alexander Linthicum. From February 6 to 14, Linthicum is alleged to have made numerous phone calls to three different people. Authorities say these phone calls consisted of threats of violence, admission and tampering with a witness. On numerous occasions, authorities say Linthicum made threats and admissions throughout the phone calls, and attempted to have numerous individuals contact one of the persons by stalking her vehicle, residence and attempting to contact her via Facebook. Authorities add, Linthicum also made serious threats of violence to harm another person.
According to court documents, Linthicum, of Nevada, is charged with a felony for tampering or attempt to tamper with a victim in a felony prosecution. Bond is set at $25,000 cash or surety.
An initial hearing for Linthicum is pending at Cooper County Circuit Court.
