Area residents are invited to an Open House for the Midwest Regional Medical Center – formerly I-70 Community Hospital- in Sweet Springs on St. Patrick’s Day.

According to the agenda, Sweet Springs Ambulance Board President Dennis Dohrman is scheduled to welcome everybody and introduce ambulance board members at 10 a.m.

Also scheduled is a presentation by ToniAnn Granzow Richardson, CEO at HCC Network; introduction of Missouri State Representatives Kurtis Gregory and Terry Thompson, as well as Ray Bazarth, a representative from U.S. Senator Josh Hawley’s office, and USDA representative Kyle Wilkens.

Dohrman also is scheduled to present a petition and questions during the event. Also scheduled are a presentation by Sweet Springs Chamber of Commerce President Tara Hinck Brewer and a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Sherri Lynn’s Diner and Sweet Springs Therapy Center at the hospital.

Hospital tours will run concurrently with speaker presentations; and petition signature pages and refreshments will be available at the emergency room waiting area from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Area residents are invited to stay for some or all of the presentations.
