Liberty Utilities will be installing a new gas main to allow the City to complete a stormwater project in the immediate area.

A news release says due to this, the City of Sedalia will close South Park Avenue to the north of Broadway Boulevard (U.S. Highway 50) and south of West 7th Street to through traffic from 6 a.m. on Thursday March 17, until 5 p.m. on Friday, March 18.

Residents along S. Park Ave. will be able to access their driveways during this time.

Heavy equipment and personnel will be in the area, and it was determined the safest alternative is to close the street during this period to through traffic to allow for the work to be completed safely and timely.

Travelers in the area are advised to find an alternate route to their destination.
