
Doug Hammack, age 79, of Marshall, MO, died Friday, March 18, 2022, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Funeral services, with full military rites, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Private inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Born August 12, 1942, in Desloge, MO, he was the son of the late Buford F. “Boots” Hammack and Fern Estell Bates Hammack. On February 24, 1968, he married Karen Harliene Hanes who preceded him in death on December 18, 2021. Doug was a veteran of the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam Era. He lived in Marshall most of his life and retired from Con-Agra Frozen Foods after 45 years of service. Doug was a member of American Legion Post 558, V.F.W. Post 2646, Chapter 12 Freedom of the Road Riders, and the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth Cornine of Marshall; two grandchildren, Nathan Cornine and Shauna Banty, both of Marshall; one sister, Ruth Ann Williams (Gary) of Cuba, MO; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa Kay Hammack.
