A Sedalia woman has been charged with multiple drug-related felonies after a traffic stop on April 27, 2022.

According to a probable cause statement from the Sedalia Police Department, Amanda Adams was pulled over following an improper turn on West Broadway Boulevard. Adams and her passenger consented to a personal search, but denied consent to a search of the vehicle. A Sedalia Police Department detective found a methamphetamine pipe on the passenger. A search of the vehicle found bottles containing hydrocodone and Alprazolam pills, a syringe containing 40 milliliters of methamphetamine, 3.1 grams of marijuana, and empty baggies. Authorities also note Adams has two prior convictions for drug-related felony charges and has been arrested for failing to appear in court multiple times.

Court documents say Adams is charged with three counts of a felony for possession of a controlled substance. Bond is fixed at $75,000 cash or surety.

Adams was arraigned on April 29, and has a hearing scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 10 at Pettis County Circuit Court.
