Carroll County Presiding Commissioner Stan Falke gave an update on the bridge projects in the county.

According to Falke, a bridge in the Washington Township, located on County Road 110, is complete and open to traffic. The county paid $450,000 for the bridge.

Construction will begin soon on a bridge in Leslie Township, located on County Road 212. The bridge will be closed for approximately three months. The cost is $650,000.

The county is in the preliminary stages with a bridge in the Stokes Mound Township over Tater Hill Creek on County Road 225. The cost is $650,000.

Falke also said there is an upcoming state project on Highway 139 between Highway 24 and Bosworth. The project is scheduled to start sometime this summer and close that stretch of roadway for two to three months.
